Citizens' Academy Nomination Process

Know someone you would like to nominate to attend the next FBI Citizens' Academy?

Nominations are now being accepted for the 18th Citizens Academy.  The program will be held at the Washington Field Office (WFO), 601 4th Street, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20535 unless otherwise noted.  Classes are scheduled weekly from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with dinner being served at 5:30 p.m..  The schedule is as follows:

Wedneday, April 11, 2012 

Thursday, April 12, 2012 Tour at FBI HQ 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Graduation Saturday, April 14 at Quantico 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

 

Please submit your nominations as soon as possible to Aimee Hill aimee.hill@ic.fbi.gov or to Shernita Morris at Shernita.morris@ic.fbi.gov. 

Individuals nominated for the Citizens' Academy must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a recognized business or community leader
  • Live and/or work within the District of Columbia or Northern Virginia
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have no prior felony convictions
  • Have no misdemeanor arrest within the year prior to application
  • Be able to commit to attending all sessions, with no more than two absences
