Each member of the FBI Citizens' Academy is a graduate of an eight-week FBI Citizens' Academy curriculum which focuses
on federal law enforcement issues and challenges. Graduates of the curriculum are eligible for participation in the
FBI Citizens' Academy Alumni organization.
Individuals nominated for the Citizens' Academy must meet the following criteria:
Be a recognized business or community leader
Live and/or work within the District of Columbia or Northern Virginia
Be at least 21 years of age
Have no prior felony convictions
Have no misdemeanor arrest within the year prior to application
Be able to commit to attending all sessions, with no more than two absences
